Hand Painted Kitchen Wiveton Norfolk
Jump to PhotosWiveton is a small village in North Norfolk. It is situated on the west bank of the River Glaven. The larger village of Blakeney is 1.2 miles to the west, the town of Cromer 12 miles to the east, and the city of Norwich is miles away!
Until the 17th century, the River Glaven was navigable and Wiveton was a port. The outline of the former harbour can still be seen in the fields between Wiveton and Cley.
Alongside this, marks from mooring ropes belonging to large transport barges can still be seen etched into the wall on the east side of the church.
Wiveton was in the national news in 1779 when James Hackman, its newly appointed Rector, was hanged for the murder of Martha Ray, mistress of John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich (the man credited with inventing the sandwich).
And this glamorous location is where one of FX Decor's latest hand painted kitchens was undertaken and no sandwiches were harmed during the transformation!!!
This beautifully hand crafted kitchen was about to undertake a stunning transformation, all the units were skilfully created from solid tulip wood and mdf inner panels.
Once all the preparation was completed and the primer/ sealer was applied, the beautiful deep colour was carefully hand painted to create the stunning contrast to the existing tones within the kitchen.
The paint used as always was Alcro's servalac Aqua 10, available from Paint And Paper in Norwich.
And with comments from very happy clients like this, "I just love the way the kitchen now looks, the matching of the colour we wanted is excellent, and
the quality of you painting and finish is outstanding. It was a pleasure to work with you."
